MID FLORIDA
               AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIER
                  ASSOCIATION
*An American Dog Breeders Sanctioned Club*

We are a non-profit organization working for the preservation and future of the American Pit Bull Terrier. Preserve and promote the
breed, dispel common myths, and fight for our right to own the breed of our choice.  We offer a positive environment with activities
whereby these dogs can display their beauty, strength and loyalty and, their owners are made to feel welcome.

As an ADBA sanctioned club, first and foremost we will focus on hosting an ADBA point show each and every year consisting of fun
events, and  conformation and weight pull events.  It is our endeavor to introduce these activities for all to participate in.  We also
take great pride in our community involvement  such as participating in the Florida State Fair Pure Bred Dog Exhibit, the
Responsible Dog Owner's Day, Pit Bull Awareness Day and dog bite prevention seminars.

Mid Florida APBTA believes the American Pit Bull Terrier is the most versatile dog of all time.  Unfortunately,  because of the
actions of a few, today this breed finds itself right in the middle of a media frenzy; a frenzy that can potentially end our right to own
this breed.  We will work  tirelessly to share this breeds' many accomplishments,  sound temperament, athleticism, their drive to
accomplish any task, the spirit of David (as in David and Goliath); and the clownish behavior to entertain all who will take the time
to watch.

The pursuit of Mid Florida is to be as versatile as our dogs by developing activities for everyone to enjoy; something for everyone.
We will never loose sight of the ADBA conformation standard of a well conditioned dog.  Not everyone that owns this breed is
interested in conformation or weight pull competitions.  With that being said we will continue to look for ways to make our
organization interesting, educational, and entertaining by introducing such things as obedience training, CGC training and testing,
and other activities.
